WWE may be loading up SummerSlam with a monster women’s division showdown.
According to WWE sources via TRNBCKL, Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill has been under heavy consideration by creative for this year’s SummerSlam event. The match has not been announced, but WWE has had Charlotte and Jade on the radar for a long time.
That should not surprise anyone. Charlotte is “The Queen,” one of the most decorated women in WWE history. Jade is “The Storm,” and WWE has treated her like a major attraction from the second she walked into the company.
This match has been sitting there for a while. The first real tease came all the way back on the October 13, 2023 episode of SmackDown, when WWE planted the seed for a future Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill showdown. Now, it may finally be getting closer.
SummerSlam 2026 will be a two-night event, taking place Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. With two nights to fill inside an NFL stadium, WWE has plenty of room for a match like Charlotte vs. Jade to land on the card.
WWE has not made the match official, and plans can always change. Still, the fact that Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill is under heavy consideration says a lot about where WWE may be heading for one of its biggest shows of the year.
Do you think Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill should happen at SummerSlam 2026, or should WWE save that match for another stage? Let us know what you think in the comments.
