Liv Morgan wasn’t about to let a Hooters sign slide during WWE’s latest live event. When a fan in Savannah told her to “Go Back to Hooters,” Morgan spotted it and responded by flipping them off.
The moment happened during WWE’s August 30 live event in Savannah, with footage showing Morgan noticing the sign from the crowd. Instead of ignoring the shot at her pre-WWE career, Liv fired back with the middle finger and moved on.
The reference wasn’t random either. Morgan famously worked at Hooters before getting her opportunity with WWE, and she has openly discussed how important that period was in shaping both her career and her confidence.
While appearing on Impaulsive in 2024, Morgan explained that working at Hooters helped introduce her to embracing her sexuality. She initially entered WWE wanting to dress modestly and have her wrestling speak for itself, but her outlook eventually changed.
“I definitely think Hooters was my introduction to embracing my sexuality. It opened my mind to it more. When I started my career in WWE, I was very modest; I wore pants and a crop top that covered me completely.”
Morgan said she eventually found power in presenting herself differently after being encouraged to let the Liv Morgan character grow up.
“After I started dressing a little more scandalously, I found power in the sexualization of it all. It definitely opened my mind to my sexuality because I was previously modest and didn’t want to be viewed in that way. Now, I see it differently; it’s totally a power.”
Considering Morgan has never exactly hidden the fact that she worked at Hooters, the Savannah fan wasn’t revealing anything new. They did, however, manage to get Liv’s attention—and she made her response pretty difficult to misunderstand.
