Liv Morgan just admitted something wrestling fans have suspected forever — when two wrestlers legitimately can’t stand each other backstage, that tension doesn’t always stay behind the curtain. Morgan says she has personally seen real-life disrespect bleed directly into matches and promos, including wrestlers saying things they weren’t supposed to say.

During her appearance on Hot Ones with Sean Evans, Morgan was asked whether legitimate backstage beef between wrestlers makes their work together better or worse. Sean Evans didn’t ask her to name names, but Liv still gave a revealing answer about what can happen when two people who genuinely dislike each other are forced to work together.

Morgan said she has witnessed situations where the lack of respect becomes painfully obvious once the wrestlers get into the ring.

“I’ve seen scenarios where there is a lack of respect and it translates in the ring in weird ways where you can tell that they do not like each other, they are not working together, or their promo segments where they are saying things that are not on script, that are not in, like, kayfabe, you know? And it doesn’t end well, you know, ultimately, things get patched up.”

Liv then turned the question toward herself and made it clear that even if she legitimately had a problem with another wrestler, she wouldn’t allow it to wreck their match. Morgan said anyone working with her should know that whatever is happening personally won’t stop her from delivering once the bell rings.

“But I like to think that if someone doesn’t like me, they know I’m gonna give them an amazing match regardless at the end of the day and so they’re not worried about whatever issues that we’re having.”

Morgan jokingly took her professionalism claim one step further.

“Total pro. Total pro. Total pro. Total pro. I don’t think I could be more of a pro. I think I’m, like, the pro-est.”

The subject is especially interesting considering Morgan’s own history at the WWE Performance Center. Ringside News previously covered Sonya Deville’s story about Mandy Rose and Liv Morgan allegedly getting into a legitimate fight during a WWE promo class, after what was supposed to be a training exercise became much more physical.

Morgan has also experienced moments where wrestling blurred the line in completely different ways. She previously revealed that her low blow on John Cena was completely unscripted, although that situation was obviously very different from wrestlers legitimately having personal issues with each other.

Liv didn’t expose anybody by name on Hot Ones, but she certainly didn’t dismiss the idea that legitimate backstage problems can become visible on television. According to Morgan, fans watching closely really can sometimes see when two wrestlers aren’t cooperating the way they normally would — and occasionally hear it when a promo veers outside what was planned.

What WWE matches or promos do you think showed signs that the wrestlers involved legitimately had problems with each other? Drop your thoughts and feedback in the comments.
