Liv Morgan is already looking ahead to SummerSlam, and she fully expects to walk into the event as WWE Women’s World Champion.

During a conversation with WSFL, Morgan was asked about SummerSlam, which is set for August 1 and 2. The champion did not reveal who she may face at the event, but she made it clear that she expects to be part of the show with her title on the line. Morgan first talked about what SummerSlam means to WWE, calling it one of the company’s biggest events of the year.

“I’m just excited for the event, honestly. You know, Summerslam is one of our biggest events of the year. Um, I like to call it the biggest party of the summer. So, be there or be square.”

Morgan then explained that WWE is still several weeks away from the event, which leaves plenty of room for the story to change before SummerSlam arrives.

“Um, we still have a couple weeks leading into the event. So, I’m very excited to see how things unfold because we just had Wrestlemania and Wrestlemania to me kind of signifies the wrestling new year.”

She added that the post-WrestleMania stretch always feels like a reset point in WWE, with new stories, new rivalries, and unexpected turns on the way to SummerSlam.

“Everything is new and fresh and evolving. You could really expect the unexpected on this road to SummerSlam.”

While Morgan said she does not know exactly what WWE has planned for her, she made it clear that her own expectation is simple. She plans to be there, defend the title, and leave with the championship still in her possession.

“So, I have no idea what’s in store, but I know it’s going to be a good journey to get there. So, I’m excited and obviously I’m expecting to be there. I’m expecting to defend and retain my WWE Women’s World Championship and so my eyes are open and I have a few tricks up my sleeve.”

“I’m always ready, but I have no idea. I just know it’s going to be iconic.”

That gives WWE plenty to work with on the road to SummerSlam. Morgan is not naming a challenger, but she is already speaking like a champion preparing for a major title defense. With the women’s division constantly shifting after WrestleMania, her next opponent could come from several directions.
