Lio Rush won’t be making his scheduled PW Revolver appearance tonight, and this one had nothing to do with an injury or last-minute booking change.

Rush said a brutal travel day packed with delays finally ended with his flight getting canceled, leaving him unable to get to the show. Rush broke the news on social media Saturday night and made it clear he was pissed about missing the event, especially with fans already expecting to see him there. Rush then apologized to fans and promised he plans to make things right after the travel mess kept him away.

“Won’t be able to make @PWRevolver tonight due to multiple flight delays and an unfortunate cancelled flight to cap it off.”

“HE’s pretty upset about it, but I promise to make it up to all of the fans soon. Enjoy what I’m sure will be a fantastic show tonight.”

The situation is another reminder of how quickly an indie booking can fall apart when wrestlers are flying from city to city on tight schedules. In Rush’s case, multiple delays were already bad enough before the cancellation completely killed his chances of getting there.

Rush remains active across AEW, ROH and the independent scene, but PW Revolver fans will have to wait a little longer to see him after airline problems took him off tonight’s card.

Do you think promotions should build more travel time into schedules for wrestlers working multiple dates, or is this just an unavoidable part of the business? Let us know what you think and leave your feedback below.
