Lexis King isn’t wasting any time proving he’s a fighting champion. Tonight on WWE NXT, he puts the NXT Heritage Cup on the line against Charlie Dempsey in a rematch that could finally settle their ongoing battle.

King controversially won the cup from Dempsey on the January 7th episode of NXT under sudden death rules, sealing the victory with a Coronation DDT after an accidental low blow. Despite the loss, Dempsey has refused to acknowledge King as the rightful champion, leading to tonight’s high-stakes showdown.

Backstage tensions between the two boiled over last week, with both agreeing that another match was the only way to end the debate. Now, they face off live at 8/7c on The CW Network, with King looking to silence his challenger once and for all.

Also set for tonight’s show, Oba Femi defends the NXT Championship against Eddy Thorpe, and Tony D’Angelo puts the NXT North American Championship on the line against Ridge Holland.
