LA Knight Becomes Special Referee For NXT Title Match This Week

WWE brought a big episode of NXT to the USA Network this week. They had a lot of announcements to kick off the show, and even more surprises than fans thought they had in store.

Cody Rhodes kicked off NXT this week with a huge announcement or two. The Ilja Dragunov came out to a bunch of “Happy Birthday” chants. After all, October 10th is his birthday.

This was followed by Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley making an entrance. After a bit of back and forth, Dragunov agreed to put his NXT Title on the line in a match with Dominik Mysterio during that night’s show.

That wasn’t all, because as special guest General Manager, Cody Rhodes set a big stipulation for the match. He announced that LA Knight would be the special guest referee.

We previously reported that LA Knight was spotted backstage in a referee shirt. It seems that he has a very special assignment during NXT this week.
