Kurt Angle has plenty of wild wrestling stories, but one of his sharpest came at the expense of The Undertaker himself.

During a conversation with Inside the Ropes, Angle talked about one of the most memorable pieces of advice he got in WWE—and why he didn’t buy it for a second.

When asked about Taker’s best advice, Angle quoted the Deadman with a smirk:

“He said, ‘Kid, I don’t rib, and I don’t like to be ribbed.’”

But then Angle dropped the punchline that left fans stunned:

“But that mother**r ribs people! He’s full of sh*t! He just doesn’t like to be ribbed. And if you rib him, you’re in for it. He’s going to beat the sh*t out of you.”

Angle explained that despite The Undertaker’s intimidating presence and backstage rep, he didn’t have a hard time earning his respect. The Olympic gold medalist’s legit credentials and attitude helped smooth the path.

“With me, Undertaker respected me right away. I think it’s because of my credentials—winning the Olympic gold medal with a broken freaking neck. But I also had a good attitude coming in. I was very pleasant, I was very modest, and I took everything with a grain of salt. I was very agreeable with everybody, so I made it easy for people to like me.”

While Undertaker’s legacy is built on intimidation and respect, Angle’s blunt honesty added a little humor to the mystique.
