Kofi Kingston has now said his piece — and it’s a full goodbye.
After Xavier Woods posted his farewell, Kingston followed up with a long, emotional message reflecting on his career and closing the chapter on his WWE run. He opened by admitting it took him time to even process everything, saying the response from fans hit hard.
“It’s taken me two full days to respond to all my texts… I’m overwhelmed by all the messages here too. So much love.”
From there, Kingston looked back on his career, making it clear how much it meant to him. He also focused heavily on the relationships he built along the way — especially with his New Day brothers.
“My story has been nothing short of remarkable and I am truly blessed to have had such an illustrious… and, most importantly, fun-filled career.”
“Most people go through life without ever experiencing a love like I have for Woods and E. That bond alone would have made this whole experience worth it.”
Kingston made sure to thank everyone who played a role in his journey, from fans to those behind the scenes. He also shared what drove him throughout his career, putting the focus on his family and what he was trying to build outside the ring.
“To everyone who has ever supported me… Thank you. I appreciate you more than words can say.”
“My main mission has always been… to provide a comfortable life filled with heartwarming memories for my family.”
Then came the closing message — and it made it clear this isn’t just an ending, it’s a transition. And he finished it the only way he could.
“And so… as the sun sets on one chapter, so too must it rise in another.”
“Tomorrow is indeed…a New Day.”
With both Kingston and Woods now speaking out, this isn’t just a roster move anymore — it’s the end of one of WWE’s most important runs, told directly by the people who lived it.
