WWE is about to throw another big Saturday Night’s Main Event special, but that doesn’t mean they will have all hands on deck backstage. It appears that two of the biggest internal names in the company won’t be at the show.

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that Triple H and Bruce Prichard were present at WWE SmackDown, but they are not backstage at Saturday Night’s Main Event. This is rare for Triple H and Bruce Prichard to miss a show like this.

Bruce Prichard is Executive Director, over both RAW and SmackDown. Of course, Triple H is the company’s COO, and he usually runs the ship from the Gorilla Position.

It was also noted that Road Dogg was also at SmackDown, which was his first appearance in a few weeks. His current role is as Senior Vice President of Live Event. He is also a creative mind on SmackDown as a head writer.

We will have to see what the future holds for WWE and their events. At this rate, they have arranged a well-oiled machine. So, even if one of the key members is missing, or even a few of them, they are able to make things work with the people backstage.

  • WWE World Heavyweight Championship: CM Punk vs. Jey Uso
