Kevin Nash has dealt with a lot of loss over the years, but the death of Scott Hall is one he says he will never truly get over.
During a conversation with Inside The Ropes, Nash opened up about how different life feels now that so many of the people he spent his wrestling career with are gone. He noted that roughly 80% of the people involved in the old stories he tells are no longer alive, but Hall’s death hits differently because their relationship went far beyond wrestling. While also discussing Hulk Hogan’s death, Nash made it clear that losing Hall remains especially difficult for him.
“I mean, I’ll never get over Scott because he was, you know, he was my best friend.”
Hall and Nash were tied together for decades, from their time as The Outsiders to helping form the NWO alongside Hulk Hogan. Away from television, Nash has repeatedly described Hall as his closest friend.
Nash is now approaching the 30th anniversary of the NWO while being the only surviving member of its original three-man lineup. That milestone comes with plenty of wrestling history attached to it, but Nash’s comments make it clear that remembering those days also means remembering the people he lost along the way.
