Kevin Nash isn’t buying the idea that WWE has gone stale.

On the latest Kliq This podcast episode titled You Can’t Handle The Truth!, Nash responded to fans—and his own co-host—who claim WWE is stuck on repeat with its weekly format.

Co-host Sean Oliver questioned whether the company was just recycling the same TV formula each week, pointing to moments like wrestlers staring each other down from the ring and ramp. But Nash wasn’t having it.

“At the same time though, you look at a show that was wildly successful—Friends, Seinfeld—was it not the same [expletive] people every week? Like it’s the same. It’s the cast of characters is a cast of characters. And I think, you know, the nuances and the—but there’s a different script every week.”

Nash defended WWE’s storytelling pace and pointed out that meaningful change takes time, but it’s there if you’re actually watching. He praised small moments that push characters forward—like Cody Rhodes throwing verbal shots, Gunther’s rise, and Jey Uso’s changing position.

“I think things move. I mean, Cody got a chance to say, you know, ‘How it feel to look up at the lights.’ There’s little pieces that are like, you know… I think before there’s an earthquake, there needs to be some degree of seismic movement.”

He didn’t stop there—Nash then aimed directly at fans who binge or skim through episodes instead of absorbing the week-to-week shifts.

“If you watch it on 4X, then you’re not going to catch the [expletive] nuance.”

Nash clearly sees WWE’s format as character-driven storytelling with slow-burn payoffs, not a lack of creativity. And he’s not interested in hearing otherwise.
