Keanu Carver’s situation isn’t just playing out in a Florida courtroom — it could create one hell of a logistical problem for WWE. The NXT wrestler has been ordered to stay at least 500 feet away from another NXT talent, and WWE has yet to publicly explain what that means for Carver’s status or his ability to return to the Performance Center.
As Ringside News previously reported, Carver, whose legal name is Kevin Robertson, is under a protection order after another NXT talent filed a petition accusing him of stalking and harassment following the end of their relationship. The order also prohibits Robertson from contacting the petitioner. That becomes especially complicated when both people work for the same company and could ordinarily train or appear at the same WWE facility.
Robertson last appeared on NXT television on September 8, where he was involved in the six-man tag team storyline alongside EK Prosper and Cruz Montana. Ringside News covered Carver’s involvement in the September 8 NXT main event, where his team lost to Tony D’Angelo, Mason Rook and Saquon Shugars.
His final match before the court situation surfaced came just four days later. Robertson competed at an NXT live event in Lakeland, Florida, on September 12 — one day before the alleged incident that ultimately led to police being called.
The petitioner claims Robertson came to their residence again on September 13 after already being told he wasn’t welcome. Robertson allegedly refused to leave and threatened to harm himself, prompting the petitioner to call 911.
According to the filing, Robertson left before police arrived but allegedly called the petitioner another 44 times over the following two hours. The protection order was requested the next day. That wasn’t the only alleged barrage of calls described in the petition. The petitioner claims Robertson had already called, “a total of 25 times.”
The filing also describes repeated alleged visits to the petitioner’s residence, including accusations that Robertson knocked on the door through the night, circled the building and attempted contact through blocked phone numbers and social media. The petitioner described one stretch of alleged contact this way:
“Called my phone from a blocked number, called me on x (FKA twitter), made incoherent sounds, circled my apartment building.”
A judge granted a temporary protection order on September 14. Following a hearing on September 22, the court extended the order through October 20 after Robertson requested a continuance so he could obtain legal counsel.
The big unanswered question now is what WWE does with him. WWE has not publicly said whether Robertson is suspended or whether the company is conducting its own investigation. There has also been no public explanation for how WWE would handle the 500-foot restriction if both Robertson and the petitioner would otherwise be scheduled to train or work at the WWE Performance Center.
That silence stands out because Carver had been actively involved on NXT television shortly before disappearing. WWE had placed him in the NXT Championship picture earlier in September, with Carver among six wrestlers fighting for spots in a number-one contender match.
Robertson’s NXT run had also been picking up steam before all of this. WWE assigned the Keanu Carver name to the former Temple University defensive tackle after signing him, and he had been receiving more television time throughout 2026.
Now his wrestling future has a giant question mark over it. The protection order is a civil matter, and authorities have not announced criminal charges against Robertson. Police have said the case remains pending with the State Attorney’s Office, while prosecutors have indicated it is still being investigated. Robertson has not publicly addressed the allegations, and his social media accounts under the Keanu Carver name appear to have been deactivated.
Carver went from wrestling on NXT television September 8 and a house show September 12 to being under a 500-foot no-contact order involving another member of the NXT roster just days later. Until WWE says where he stands, there’s no clear answer on when — or whether — fans will see him back inside an NXT ring.
