Kazuchika Okada left NJPW in 2024 and quickly joined AEW, making his debut in March of that year. He’s had a strong run in AEW so far, but fans have been wondering when he would feud with Kenny Omega again. Okada has now finally addressed potentially reigniting his feud with The Best Bout Machine once and for all.
While speaking to Tokyo Sports, The Rainmaker was asked about potentially reigniting his feud with Kenny Omega in AEW. Okada talked about Omega’s recent recovery from a year-long battle with diverticulitis and stated that it would be better if Omega simply takes his time and gets into ring shape first, making it clear Okada is in no hurry for a feud with Omega.
“I don’t know what the situation will be like, and it’s not impossible that he’ll be in a bad shape after returning. He’s just recovered from an illness, so I think it would be good if he could take his time and get himself in shape.”
Kenny Omega made his highly anticipated return at Worlds End, where he presented the Continental title to Kazuchika Okada, the winner of the Continental Classic. Omega quickly created excitement for a potential future match between the two.
For the record, Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada will likely square off against each other at All In: Texas on July 12th. Therefore, it’s clear AEW will be taking their time building Omega and Okada’s feud and that’s exactly what fans want in the end.
