Karrion Kross went to war with AJ Styles on the March 14 episode of WWE RAW, but fans didn’t know just how real the damage got—until now.

In his new documentary, Kross revealed that he suffered a ruptured eardrum during the match, marking his first televised bout of the year. But the situation got even scarier when he went in for treatment. “An hour into repairing my eardrum, I passed out,” Kross admitted. “I lost all my color and broke out into a full body sweat.”

Despite the terrifying medical scare, Kross bounced back and was cleared to compete again. He fought JR Kratos at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIII, just weeks after the procedure. The former NXT Champion didn’t slow down either—he was also part of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the April 18 edition of SmackDown.

The injury scare adds another layer to Kross’ gritty reputation, and it’s clear he’s not letting setbacks keep him out of the ring. Still, passing out mid-surgery is a reminder of the real risks wrestlers take every time they step between the ropes.
