Jonathan Coachman isn’t sold on Jade Cargill, and he made that crystal clear during his latest podcast appearance. Months after Cargill responded to critics who claimed she “can’t wrestle,” Coachman has now doubled down with a brutal assessment of her WWE run.
Back in March, Cargill shrugged off the criticism, saying people could call her whatever they wanted because she had already become a champion in multiple companies and achieved success inside and outside the ring. She also made it clear she wasn’t going to let comments about her wrestling ability get under her skin.
Speaking on The Coach and Bro Show on October 7, Coachman was asked whether Jade would be better off moving from SmackDown to RAW. He didn’t think switching brands would solve anything.
“No, because they listen to us! Remember when I caught all that heat for saying she’s just not good enough? She’s nowhere to be found.”
Coachman argued that not everyone is built for WWE’s highest level and suggested people often avoid making those kinds of criticisms when it comes to female wrestlers.
“Guys, I’m telling you right now — not everyone is meant for this level. They’re not. And I think sometimes we don’t say that because we don’t wanna insult a female, or we don’t wanna do this or that.”
Jonathan Coachman then claimed that Cargill has struggled from the very beginning of her WWE run and suggested her look played a major role in why the company signed her.
“Bro, this is the top of the game, top of the business. Jade — she hasn’t been there since day one. They signed her more because of how she looks. She looks like a superhero.”
Coachman’s comments probably won’t change anyone’s mind overnight, but they do add another big name to the list of people questioning Cargill’s WWE run. Whether you agree with him or not, Jade continues to be one of the most talked-about women on the roster, and debates about her in-ring ability don’t seem to be going away anytime soon.
