Jon Moxley has been one of AEW’s biggest stars since the company started in 2019 and has seen the company change numerous times over the years. He’s currently the World Heavyweight Champion and a key part of AEW’s top storyline with the Death Riders faction and has now revealed his sustainable plans for the company’s future.

While speaking with Yahoo Sports, Moxley talked about AEW’s current situation. He admitted the company has faced challenges, including less fan interest over the past year. He said AEW is focused on building something strong and long-lasting. It’s not just about what happens in the ring but about creating a foundation for the future. Moxley is proud of the roster’s hard work and sees the journey as a learning experience with small victories along the way.

“We’re building. It’s about a lot more than what happens in the ring,” Moxley stated. “Building something sustainable for the future that we can take pride in, we’ve been doing that for the past few months.” It’s about a mindset and an approach of taking pride in what we do. We have a lot of guys and girls that are part of it. I’m pretty proud, but it’s a long game and it’s little tiny victories every day and a constant learning process. It’s really exciting.”

Moxley explained that he feels a deep responsibility to AEW and its people. He believes everyone on the team needs to give their best to make AEW successful. For him, it’s about helping the company grow and supporting his fellow wrestlers who’ve given so much to the sport. This drive to improve and help others motivates him every day and helps AEW move forward.

“I don’t work for AEW. I work for all of the people that need this place to succeed, that’s the way I look at it,” he says. “For this place to succeed, we’ve got to operate at the highest level at every level. That’s what we accept if you’re going to be a part of this team. I feel a responsibility to these people because to be successful in wrestling, they’ve given and sacrificed their lives for the pursuit of this, as I had. I am but a servant to the pursuit of helping the whole thing, raising it up, and bringing along as many people as we can. It’s making me better and helping me learn a hell of a lot.”

Jon Moxley will defend his World Heavyweight Title against Powerhouse Hobbs in the main event of AEW Dynamite this week. Fans are excited to see if Hobbs can win and take AEW in a new direction. Whether Moxley keeps the title or Hobbs wins, it will be an important moment for AEW, something that Moxley definitely intended.
