Johnny Gargano suddenly became the subject of WWE exit rumors after fans noticed his Twitter bio doesn’t mention the company and includes contact information for business inquiries. There’s just one problem with the speculation: none of that is actually new.
Several posts began circulating on August 23 claiming Gargano had recently removed WWE from his bio, leading some fans to wonder whether another departure could be coming. The addition of “Contact: Business inquiries” only added to the speculation, with the changes being treated as possible signs that his WWE future was suddenly uncertain.
Except Gargano didn’t just make those changes. His Twitter bio has been presented that way dating back to his previous period away from WWE in 2021, when he allowed his contract to expire as he and Candice LeRae prepared to become parents for the first time. So, fans were reading a new meaning into something that had already been sitting there for years.
Gargano’s history probably made the rumors easier to believe. He previously allowed his WWE contract to expire in December 2021 and spent several months away before making his surprise return to RAW in August 2022. Seeing a WWE-free bio and business contact information was therefore enough for some fans to start connecting dots again.
This time, however, there don’t appear to be any dots to connect. Gargano didn’t suddenly scrub WWE from his Twitter account, and his internal roster status remains intact. A familiar Twitter bio was enough to get Johnny Gargano’s name caught up in departure speculation, but as things stand, there is nothing behind the rumors that he’s on his way out of WWE.
