Ric Flair is returning to The Joe Rogan Experience—but this surprise booking has a little help from someone you might not expect: John Cena.

Just after trying to quiet backlash over his disputed comments about Hulk Hogan’s death, Flair announced he’s heading back to Rogan’s podcast, vowing to address everyone who has an issue with him. While Flair’s return to the mic is grabbing headlines, a new report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reveals that Cena indirectly played a part in making it happen.

According to Meltzer, Cena’s own appearance on Rogan’s podcast didn’t just serve as a personal spotlight—it helped open the door for more WWE names, including Flair.

“Cena did a podcast taping with Joe Rogan and pushed Rogan to book more WWE guests. Those in WWE have noted that Cena has already opened doors for WWE to places that normally would not do media with the company. It also opened up a lot of doors for Gunther this past week. So Rogan booked Ric Flair on his podcast.”

Flair confirmed the news himself on X, making it clear this won’t be a laid-back catch-up. He’s walking into Rogan’s studio with a chip on his shoulder.

“I Am So Thankful & Happy To Announce That I Have Been Invited To Be On @joerogan’s Podcast Again. I Will Be Discussing My Problem With Everyone Who Has An Issue With Me With THE GREAT JOE ROGAN.”

Flair has been under intense scrutiny following comments where he suggested Hogan may have used street drugs before his death. Hogan’s widow, Sky Hogan, and multiple family sources have strongly denied those claims. Flair later claimed he was only repeating what he had heard, and posted a supposed message of support from Sky Hogan—but the strange formatting of the note raised more questions than it answered.

Now, with Rogan’s massive platform and unfiltered format, Flair has the chance to speak freely—and possibly fan the flames even more. This isn’t Cena personally vouching for Flair, but his push for more WWE representation on Rogan’s show clearly paved the way. And in classic Flair fashion, he’s ready to use the opportunity to go on the offensive.

Will Ric Flair use the moment to clarify the truth—or stir up even more heat? Share your thoughts in the comments and let us know if you’ll be tuning in to see what the Nature Boy has to say.
