John Cena just gave fans a serious blast from the past by grabbing the mic and bringing back one of the most recognizable entrance songs in WWE history.

The 17-time WWE World Champion is currently making the media rounds to promote “Matchbox: The Movie,” and one of his stops took him to Capital. Cena didn’t just sit down for the usual interview either, because he ended up performing “The Time Is Now” during the appearance.

Capital shared footage of the moment on Instagram, showing Cena turning back the clock and performing the song that has followed him through most of his WWE career.

“The Time Is Now” was released as part of Cena’s “You Can’t See Me” album in 2005. The record sold roughly 140,000 copies in its first week and featured 17 tracks, including “Right Now,” “Just Another Day” and “If It All Ended Tomorrow.”

Of course, “The Time Is Now” became much bigger than just another track on the album. It became Cena’s WWE entrance theme and remained attached to him throughout his rise into one of the biggest stars in company history.

Seeing Cena perform it again all these years later was an easy nostalgia hit for longtime WWE fans, especially with his wrestling career now in its later stages. He may have been promoting a movie, but for a few moments, it felt like 2005 all over again.
