Joe Hendry is officially headed to WWE Raw, and it looks like the company already has plans in place to make some noise when he arrives.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select confirmed that Hendry will be making Raw his full-time home after wrapping up his run in NXT. He is scheduled to perform a concert on next week’s episode of Raw, which is expected to serve as his introduction to the brand. While he is finishing up with NXT, there is still a chance he could pop up there again if needed.
For months, there had been talk that SmackDown would be his landing spot. That changed recently when WWE creative made the call to place him on Raw instead. During the discussion about Hendry’s move, the situation was laid out clearly as his role on the roster was finalized.
"Regarding Joe Hendry and Monday Night Raw, we are told his placement is now official as he joins the Raw brand and says goodbye to NXT after just a few short months. Back in December, it was widely speculated that SmackDown would be the eventual home for the charismatic superstar. However creative over the past few weeks has landed him on Raw with an eye towards inserting him in the upper mid card imminently. So, TC, a lot of people going back a year ago or so couldn't wait for Joe Hendry to get here. He became an official WWE Superstar a few months back, spent some time in NXT. Now he's going to make his home on Monday Night Raw. What's the ceiling for him?"
That “upper mid card” plan shows WWE isn’t wasting time easing him in. Instead, they appear ready to feature Hendry in a meaningful role right away, using the same personality-driven style that helped him connect with fans in NXT. After confirming the move, the discussion turned to what his long-term future on Raw could look like and what fans should expect once he settles in.
"Well, we've already seen him capture the NXT Championship for a short little period of time. I don't expect him to win any major championships on the main roster of the World Heavyweight or WWE, so definitely a ceiling at that level. Could I see him win a U.S. Title or an Intercontinental championship? I think you could, but I kind of see like a similar sort of situation with LA Knight… where he's a guy a lot of people are going to clamor for, is not getting the opportunities that he should… I'm sure you're going to get a few of these concerts. As we see coming up on Raw this coming Monday night, we'll have a concert from Joe Hendry as his entrance in his debut on Raw."
This move marks a big shift for Hendry, who built strong momentum in NXT before earning his place on Raw. With a debut concert already lined up and creative planning to push him into the upper mid-card, WWE clearly sees potential in what he brings to the table.
Joe Hendry’s jump to Raw could be the start of a much bigger run if the early push connects with fans the way WWE expects.
