You never know what will happen on Wrestling Twitter, and things were amped up even more when the social media platform went to X. While some have left the platform, Jimmy Korderas is still in the thick of it. He also recently had to put his foot down when one troll wanted to run his mouth.

Former WWE referee Jimmy Korderas found himself in the middle of a heated and emotional X exchange after a seemingly lighthearted post was met with a shocking and inflammatory reply referencing the tragic death of Owen Hart.

It all began when Korderas tweeted in response to a post with a video of Tony Khan. In that video, Khan was a bit out of the norm, to say the least. This brought Korderas to make a comment to troll Khan a bit.

“Jeeeeeeeeeezus! I wonder why he’s wearing sunglasses? Actually, no I don’t! 🤦‍♂️”

While the post didn’t initially suggest anything serious, it prompted an explosive response from a user under the handle @SkytelWrestling. This fan kicked things up a notch as he he brought up the fact that Korderas was there during the tragic event that took Owen Hart’s life in 1999.

“WWE was responsible for nearly killing you when they dropped Owen Hart from the roof of an arena, to his horrific death. It’s only because Owen used his final words on this Earth to warn you to move, that you’re alive. Here you are 26 years later, chasing WWE’s approval. F** you.”*

Jimmy Korderas didn’t hold back in his reply. Deeply offended and clearly emotional over the accusation. The respected pro wrestling veteran responded to lay it all on the line for this cutthroat fan.

“F** you for using that bullshit statement. It was a horrific ACCIDENT you f*cking douchebag! I would say you are a piece of s but you are the entire f**ing log and then some. You are the worst slime. Don’t tag me ever unless you can say it to my face Mr 20yrs bullshit.”

The exchange quickly gained traction among wrestling fans, and the post went viral. Naturally, there were a ton of fans who were just there for the free show on social media.

The death of Owen Hart remains one of the most painful and controversial moments in professional wrestling history. Hart died during a stunt gone wrong at the 1999 Over the Edge pay-per-view when a harness malfunctioned, causing him to fall from the rafters of the Kemper Arena in Kansas City. WWE never held another Over the Edge pay-per-view, and Martha Hart sued the company and won a multi-million dollar wrongful death lawsuit after that.

To this day, Owen Hart’s legacy has not been allowed in WWE. Martha Hart has given AEW permission to hold a yearly Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, which has boosted the profile of the charity named after the Black Hart. Obviously, Owen Hart’s name or the events around his passing aren’t anything that Jimmy Korderas wants to see on his timeline in that fashion.
