Jim Cornette saw the Supreme Court shut down Donald Trump’s birthright citizenship order, and he didn’t waste any time flipping the whole thing back on Trump.

After the Court rejected Trump’s attempt to block citizenship for children born in the United States to people who are in the country illegally or temporarily, Cornette jumped on Twitter with a very Cornette-style response. His message was simple: if America is talking about revoking citizenship, he has a few names in mind.

“If we’re going to revoke anyone’s US citizenship, let’s start with S***ler and his whole family–the air will smell better and the crime rate will drop in half.”

That was Cornette going full scorched earth after the June 30 ruling, which upheld the long-standing reading of the 14th Amendment. Trump’s order had already been blocked by lower courts, so it never actually went into effect, but the Supreme Court’s decision still marked a major rejection of one of his biggest immigration moves.

Cornette has been ripping Trump for years, so this was not exactly some shocking political turn. He previously went after Trump over his January 6 pardons, including after an NBC News report tied one pardoned Capitol riot defendant to a separate child exploitation case. Cornette used that situation to accuse Trump of caring more about protecting loyal supporters than actual law and order.

This time, Cornette used the birthright citizenship fight as the setup. Trump wanted to narrow who gets American citizenship at birth, and Cornette basically said the country should start by looking at Trump’s own family instead.

The Supreme Court may have ended Trump’s executive order for now, but Cornette clearly is not done swinging. Whether people agree with him or think he went way too far, his latest post made sure the ruling turned into another ugly political fight online.

What do you think about Jim Cornette calling for Donald Trump and his family to lose citizenship? Was he making a point, or did he go too far? Let us know in the comments below.
