Jerry Lawler wasn’t kidding when he said he had one more match left in him. Months after suffering his third stroke, The King has now called out one of his oldest rivals to find out if he has one left too.

Memphis Wrestling took to Instagram and uploaded a video featuring Lawler sending a message directly to longtime rival “Superstar” Bill Dundee. Lawler didn’t need a lengthy promo to get his point across. He had one question.

“Hey, I got one question. Superstar, do you have one more match left in you?”

That’s a pretty loaded question considering the history between the two. Lawler and Dundee spent decades as both rivals and partners in Memphis wrestling, with their battles becoming a major part of the territory’s history. Now Lawler is apparently interested in finding out whether there’s room for one more chapter.

The timing makes the challenge considerably more surprising. Lawler suffered his third stroke in September 2025, following previous health scares in 2012 and 2023. The most recent stroke left him unable to see color, something he revealed while discussing his recovery with WMC-TV in Memphis last December.

“Because of the stroke, I’m colorblind now. I can’t see colors anymore. I see in black and white.”

Even then, Lawler wasn’t ready to completely close the door on wrestling. When asked whether another match was still somewhere in his future, The King made it clear that the idea hadn’t disappeared despite everything he had been through.

“I haven’t put that out of my mind. I’ve got one more match in there somewhere.”

There’s no word yet on whether Dundee will accept the challenge or if an actual match is being planned. But after saying he still had one more match somewhere inside him, Lawler has now looked directly toward one of the defining rivals of his career and asked him the exact same question. If The King really does have one final match left, he apparently wouldn’t mind spending it with the Superstar.
