Jacob Fatu isn’t only using his time at The Dungeon to improve his own game. Natalya revealed that the WWE star has also been helping train Tatanka’s sons, working with them inside the ring and sharpening their promo skills.
During her appearance on TMZ’s “Inside the Ring,” Natalya explained that Fatu has been training with her and TJ Wilson for roughly a year. He drives four hours to attend sessions and puts in the work without asking for special treatment.
“Jacob has been training with us for the last year. He drives four hours to get to us and trains his ass off in a ring with no air conditioning because we really like it to be like the real Dungeon.”
The wild part is that The Dungeon actually has air conditioning. The wrestlers simply don’t want to use it.
“We got AC installed, and nobody wants it on. Montez, Dawkins, B-Fab, Liv and Jacob don’t want the AC on because they’re like, ‘We want to sweat it out.’”
Fatu could easily make those sessions all about himself, but that isn’t how he operates. Natalya said he has stepped into a coaching role while working with Tatanka’s two sons, who have been training at The Dungeon for approximately six months.
“When Jacob Fatu comes to The Dungeon, he’s not just coming there for himself. What I love about Jacob is that he’s actually coaching others.”
“Jacob has been coaching Tatanka’s sons. Tatanka’s two boys have been coming and training with us for the last six months.”
According to Natalya, Fatu helps them with more than bumps and moves. He also works with them on promos and passes along the knowledge he has gained throughout his career. Natalya believes that willingness to help other wrestlers is something everyone in the business should have.
“Because of his level of comfort in the ring, you’ll watch him working with them on promos, and you’ll watch Jacob working with them in the ring.”
“That’s what I love. Every single person in this industry should be focusing on not just how to get themselves over, which is great, but also paying it forward.”
Fatu may be tearing people apart on WWE television, but inside The Dungeon, he is also helping the next generation get ready for its shot. Natalya’s story shows a side of him that fans rarely get to see.
