Jack Swagger got rocked in his latest Power Slap appearance, and the man who finished him was another familiar face from the wrestling world.
Swagger, now competing under his real name Jake Hager, lost to Amanpreet Singh on Friday. Wrestling fans know Singh better as former TNA star Mahabali Shera. Hager came out swinging and nearly ended things early. He blasted Shera with a massive slap in the opening round that dropped him to one knee.
Shera survived the scare, stayed in the fight and turned everything around in the third round. He unloaded with the finishing slap and knocked Hager out to secure the victory. The loss came after Hager won his Power Slap debut during WrestleMania 42 weekend. That first appearance gave him a strong start in the promotion, but Shera made sure the second outing ended very differently.
Hager has largely stepped away from professional wrestling since leaving AEW in 2024. He later described himself as “largely retired,” but he has continued testing himself in slap fighting.
Shera also built his name in wrestling before stepping into Power Slap. His victory over a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion now gives him one of the biggest wins of his slap-fighting run.
Hager had Shera in trouble early, but the former TNA star absorbed the shot and came back with the knockout when it mattered most.
