Isla Dawn has confirmed her relationship with AEW star Mark Davis, and apparently the two have been hiding in plain sight for quite a while. One birthday post was all it took for wrestling fans to discover that this might not be a new romance at all.
Dawn took to Instagram to celebrate Davis turning 36 and shared several photos of them together. Davis then showed up in the comments with a message that made their relationship status pretty clear.
“HELLO I LOVE YOU”
That wasn’t the end of it since Isla Dawn returned the love, although she couldn’t resist getting one birthday shot in at Mark Davis while she was there.
“I love you grandpa.”
The exchange confirmed what Dawn’s post was already making fairly obvious, but one of the photos gave fans something else to notice. Dawn included a picture of herself and Davis standing together in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris in 2018.
Dawn didn’t say exactly when they started dating, so the photo alone doesn’t establish that they have been together for eight years. It does show that the two were already close enough to be together in Paris long before their relationship became public knowledge.
Apparently, they just never felt the need to make their relationship part of the wrestling conversation. Now Dawn has posted Davis for his birthday, Davis has shouted “I love you” in the comments, and an old Paris photo has fans realizing these two have a lot more history than anyone knew.
