Andrade El Idolo had a few mystery faces accompanying him during his entrance at Northern Rising, and fans didn’t have to wait long to find out who one of them was. Just a day after defending his championship, one of the women involved confirmed her identity on social media.
During the October 3 Northern Rising pay-per-view, Andrade successfully defended his championship against Rohan Rajan. Before the match, he made his entrance surrounded by several women, leading plenty of fans to wonder who they were.
One of those questions has now been answered. Independent wrestler “The Elite Athlete” Nova took to her Instagram Story and revealed that she was one of the women accompanying Andrade—specifically, the woman wearing the purple dress who handed him his championship during his entrance. Nova has been building her name on the independent scene, competing for promotions including Rocket City Championship Wrestling, AIWF, GPW, MTW, and several others.
The reveal continues a recent trend of fans trying to identify independent wrestlers who quietly pop up during Andrade’s appearances. His AEW selfie segments have already featured several indie talents in cameo roles, and now Northern Rising has added another name to that growing list.
Whether it’s ringside selfie spots or special entrances, Andrade’s matches are quietly becoming a showcase for independent talent. For Nova, even a brief appearance on a major pay-per-view gave fans another opportunity to discover an up-and-coming wrestler outside the bigger promotions.
