NXT Worlds Collide is officially back—and it’s already bringing international heat to the card.
During the May 23, 2025 episode of SmackDown, WWE announced: Legado del Fantasma will face off against top AAA stars El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Psycho Clown, and Pagano at the June 7th event.
The announcement came straight from Santos Escobar in a backstage segment that added serious personal weight to the match. Speaking to Angel and Humberto, Escobar made it clear that despite the tension, family comes first—especially when representing their roots. “Like any family, there have been arguments and disagreements, but also real moments of connection,” Santos said. “This is about business. We’ll come together to represent the best this house has to offer.”
Escobar then confirmed that “El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Psycho Clown, and Pagano will face Legado del Fantasma at Worlds Collide.” The AAA trio is known for their wild, hard-hitting lucha style, and now they’ll be going head-to-head with Escobar, Angel, and Humberto in front of a packed crowd at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.
The match is not only a cross-promotional showdown, but a personal test for Legado. As Angel questioned Humberto’s loyalty, Santos stopped him with a simple message: “Let him go. He’ll understand.” That one line spoke volumes—this isn’t just about brand warfare, it’s about redemption and pride.
NXT Worlds Collide has been on the shelf since 2022, but this matchup makes it clear that its 2025 return is aiming big. Pairing WWE’s NXT talent with AAA’s top luchadores adds serious international flair—and fans are already expecting fireworks.
