Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed somehow made it all the way to London without blowing their massive AEW surprise. New Level kept a low profile, covered their faces and stayed far away from the hotel housing everyone else before appearing at All In 2026.
During an appearance on TMZ’s Inside the Ring, the new AEW World Trios Champions were asked how they avoided being recognized while traveling to London. Creed didn’t rely on anything complicated. He covered his braids, pulled up a hood and added enough accessories to make sure fans couldn’t get a clear look at him.
“I just had a jacket on with a hood, and I had a durag on because of my braids, and a baseball hat with that, and then the little mask and sunglasses. We were good.”
Kofi attempted the same strategy by wearing sweatpants and a hoodie. The only problem was that his hoodie was bright green—not exactly the best color for someone trying to disappear in public.
“I was in similar attire, but different. I was also wearing sweatpants and a hoodie, but it was bright green, like Tiffany green or blue, whatever it was. I’m just like, ‘What am I doing?’ I’m supposed to be incognito, but I don’t do that very well at all.”
Despite the questionable outfit choice, Kofi said nobody confronted him during the trip. If anyone recognized him, they kept it to themselves.
“Luckily, I didn’t see anybody, or if they saw me, they didn’t say that they did.”
AEW also helped protect the surprise by placing Kingston and Kofi in a hotel roughly 45 minutes away from where everyone else was staying. By the time New Level arrived, many of the fans in London were already around Wembley Stadium or had been in Europe for several days.
“Our hotel was also like 45 minutes away from where everybody else was staying. I think all the fans were already at Wembley and in that area. People had already come in. I think they had been in Europe the entire week, so we got there a little later than everybody else.”
The extra distance, late arrival and makeshift disguises did the job. Kingston and Creed reached Wembley without being exposed, entered the Trios Roulette match as a complete surprise and walked out as champions alongside Swerve Strickland.
New Level’s AEW debut could have been spoiled by one airport photo or hotel sighting, but they managed to keep everything locked down until their music hit inside Wembley Stadium.
