Gia Miller has revealed why she was absent from TNA Wrestling’s recent television tapings in San Antonio, Texas, and it sounds like she had a brutal week behind the scenes.

The TNA backstage correspondent had already let fans know that she would not be at the tapings because of a medical issue. While taking part in a virtual signing for East Coast Autograph Auctions, Miller opened up about just how serious the situation became. Miller said she ended up making two trips to the emergency room and underwent two minor surgeries in the span of a single week.

“I’m so excited to be here, believe it or not. I know I don’t sound like it. GiGi’s had a rough week. Two E.R. visits, two minor surgeries this week. Didn’t make it to TNA tapings.”

Despite everything she dealt with, Miller also had some encouraging news about her recovery.

“I’m almost back to 100 percent.”

Miller did not provide any additional details about what caused the medical issue or what procedures she underwent. For now, the important part is that she says she is close to feeling fully recovered after a difficult stretch that forced her to miss TNA television.

Gia Miller has been a familiar face on TNA programming as an interviewer and backstage correspondent, so her absence was noticeable. Thankfully, her latest update points toward her being on the mend and getting closer to returning to work.

What do you think about Gia Miller’s update, and are you looking forward to seeing her back on TNA programming? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
