Gail Kim has found herself back in the spotlight, not over her own comments this time, but due to a new rumor being spread online about her alleged attempts to get into AEW.
The person behind the claim? B.J. Bethel—the same reporter previously roasted for falsely claiming AEW gets an extra 500,000 viewers on MAX streaming. Bethel took to Twitter with a statement claiming Gail Kim had reached out to AEW “longer than a couple weeks ago” to inquire about opportunities but was supposedly ignored.
“In the least breaking news, Gail Kim contacted several people about an opportunity at AEW at some point, longer than a couple weeks ago. No one reached out to her.”
Gail Kim wasn’t having it. She clapped back immediately with a sharp denial, calling Bethel’s claim a flat-out lie and questioning his journalistic ethics.
“I don’t know you but this is a perfect example of someone lying and has zero integrity. At least when I say what I say, I’m saying what I feel and am truthful and will defend myself with facts. ZERO INTEGRITY here.”
This comes on the heels of Kim already dealing with backlash for previous remarks involving Riho and her use of the phrase “hood side.” Now, she’s defending herself from what she considers false reporting tied to an AEW agenda.
As the drama unfolds, fans are divided—some standing by Gail Kim, others questioning her tone. But what’s clear is that Kim isn’t backing down from calling out misinformation or protecting her reputation from unverified gossip.
