asuka’s streak is over
We knew it had to happen; we just didn’t know when. But at Wrestlemania 34, the impossible happened when Asuka tapped out to the Figure 8. Charlotte ended Asuka’s streak. While Charlotte isn’t the worst person to have ended the streak (it could have been Alexa Bliss or Shayna Baszler; we’re lucky it was Charlotte), I’d rather someone else have ended it.
Where does Asuka go from here? Does she stay on Raw? Who will she face next?
The way I see it, though, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The Empress is no longer invincible. While she definitely isn’t going to be losing all of her matches from here on out, now her feuds will be a tad less predictable.
