AEW is going big for All In at Wembley Stadium, and fans finally have their first look at what the company has been building. With the show taking place tomorrow, photos of the stage construction reveal a massive setup for AEW’s biggest event of the year.
Photos making the rounds online on August 29 show the All In stage taking shape inside Wembley Stadium. The setup features a huge entrance structure with custom lighting, while plenty of production equipment is already being installed throughout the stadium.
The ring also has the special roof structure AEW has used for its outdoor Wembley shows. Between the stage, lighting and overall scale of the setup, the company clearly isn’t holding back when it comes to making All In feel like a major stadium spectacle.
That’s particularly interesting after questions were raised about how much pyro AEW would actually be able to use this year. Wembley recently came under fire for allowing fireworks during The Weeknd’s August 14 concert despite a government warning over a severe wildfire risk.
Dave Meltzer previously reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AEW could face limitations on its fireworks at All In. Fans were warned not to expect the kind of huge pyro display normally associated with WWE stadium shows.
“Don’t expect fireworks at the level of a WWE show at All In this year. The stadium is coming under criticism for the use of fireworks during Canadian pop star The Weeknd’s concert during a government emergency alert earlier warning against their use. The alert will likely cause AEW to be limited in what they would be able to do.”
Even if AEW does have to dial back the fireworks, it certainly doesn’t look like the company is dialing back the rest of the production. The first look inside Wembley suggests AEW is putting plenty into making sure the show still looks enormous.
