Nikki Bella’s shot at the WWE Women’s Championship didn’t end the way a lot of fans wanted, and they wasted absolutely no time letting WWE know about it.

After months of building Nikki back up, seeing the Hall of Famer lose to Chelsea Green with a roll-up on the October 30 episode of SmackDown left a pretty angry section of the fanbase wondering what the hell all that build was for. One fan was absolutely furious over WWE keeping the championship on Green. They argued that Nikki brings additional attention whenever she appears and accused the company of wasting that by having her lose again.

“NO F*** YOU. THIS IS A F****** JOKE. NOBODY WANNA SEE MAGA CANADIAN AS A CHAMP ANYMORE. UNACCEPTABLE. NIKKI BRINGS SM RATINGS AND EXPOSURE EVERYTIME AND YALL KEEP PLAYING ON HER FACE. A F****** JOKE OF A COMPANY. BE ASHAMED. NO WONDER NO1 WATCHES ANYMORE.”

Another fan didn’t need nearly as many words to make their feelings clear. For them, WWE simply picked the wrong winner, saying, “Nikki should’ve won.” Not everybody was only upset about the result either. One fan ripped into the match itself, claiming Nikki and Chelsea had no chemistry and hoping WWE doesn’t run it back.

“No heat from the fans in the building. No chemistry in the ring. I hope we never see Nikki Bella against Chelsea Green again. This match was terrible.”

The finish seemed to annoy people even more because of how much time WWE had spent building Nikki ahead of the title opportunity. One fan questioned why all of that ended with a roll-up and also criticized Nikki for failing to notice Green getting her feet onto the ropes.

“Months of Nikki build up to have her lose on a roll up pin?? and the hall of famer doesn’t have the where with all to not put her opponents feet on the ropes 💀 and then we follow that up with ANOTHER fake cash in 😂😂😂 s**** a joke lol”

Another frustrated viewer turned their attention toward Triple H and WWE’s treatment of returning legends. They argued that WWE hypes those names up only to repeatedly make them look weak once they’re actually back on television.

“Bull crap.!! I remember the time @TripleH was the best. I’m 34..the company give legends a shit show.!! Hall of famers… make them weak… bring people back and hype them but make them lose every match,!! Same people win…”

And one fan was especially brutal about Green’s actual in-ring work. They compared the match to something kids would put together at a family party and dismissed it as “Disney Channel wrestling.”

“Might be the worst woman wrestler I’ve ever seen ngl. Her matches are so boring bro my lil cousins could have a crazier wrestling match in my grandmas room during a party. Disney Channel wrestling.”

All of that backlash came after Nikki came painfully close to leaving SmackDown with the championship. She hit Chelsea with the Rack Attack 2.0 late in the match, but Green managed to get her feet onto the bottom rope before eventually catching Nikki with a roll-up for the three-count.

The interesting part now is where WWE actually takes Nikki from here. She got the big return, spent months getting built back up and finally received a championship opportunity, only for Chelsea to sneak past her rather than putting her away decisively. That at least leaves WWE with an easy excuse to keep Nikki chasing if this feud isn’t finished yet.

Do you think Nikki Bella should have walked out of SmackDown as WWE Women’s Champion, or was keeping the title on Chelsea Green the right move? Let us know what you think in the comments.
