AEW tried to celebrate Pride Month, but fans quickly turned the post into a demand for Nyla Rose to return to television.
On June 1, 2026, AEW took to Twitter to mark Pride Month and stated that the company supports the celebration beyond just June: “AEW is proud to celebrate #PrideMonth this month, and every month!” However, the replies quickly shifted toward Rose, who has not been featured on AEW television in over a year.
Several fans called out the company for celebrating Pride Month while keeping one of its most visible LGBTQ+ stars off TV. One fan directly challenged AEW to back up the post by featuring Rose: “We want nyla rose on tv if u really about that pride”
Another fan asked whether this would lead to Rose getting what they called her annual appearance: “So, can Nyla Rose have her annual appearance now?” A different fan questioned why Rose was absent if AEW truly meant what it posted: “if that’s true than where’s @NylaRoseBeast”
Another fan argued that AEW would use Rose more often if the company really stood by the message: “If you do you would use @NylaRoseBeast way more than you do!” One more fan kept it simple and asked whether AEW had any plans to put Rose back on television: “Hey AEW quick question. Are you putting Nyla Rose on TV?”
The backlash comes months after Sean Ross Sapp said during a Fightful Select Q&A that even people within AEW did not seem to know why Rose had been off television for so long. He also pointed to Rose as part of a larger issue where AEW talent can disappear from TV without a clear explanation. Nyla Rose has not wrestled on AEW television since Rampage in November 2024. Since then, she has worked outside AEW, but she has not been regularly featured on Dynamite or Collision.
AEW’s Pride Month post was meant to be a positive message, but the reaction shows fans are not separating the company’s public support from its booking choices. For many, celebrating Pride while Nyla Rose remains off television feels like a contradiction fans were not going to ignore. Now, the question is whether AEW actually responds by bringing Nyla back into the mix or continues leaving her status unexplained.
