Fallon Henley may be facing a serious setback after a scary incident during an NXT live event on October 9.
Henley, one-half of the Fatal Influence faction alongside NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, suffered a nasty-looking injury during a tag match spot involving Sol Ruca. According to Bryan Alvarez via Wrestling Observer Radio, the match featured an assisted Sol Snatcher that went horribly wrong.
“Fallon is now injured. They did an assisted Sol Snatcher spot on a house show and it got botched and Sol landed right on Fallon’s head. Hopefully she’s OK and back in action soon, but was told it looked really bad,” Alvarez reported.
While initial concern surrounded Jacy Jayne, who appeared to hurt her leg and needed help to the back, Alvarez noted that Jayne is “apparently fine.” Fallon Henley, however, is the one now drawing concern backstage.
The injury comes at a critical time for Fatal Influence. On this week’s pre-taped NXT, Tatum Paxley earned a title shot against Jacy Jayne by winning a battle royal. The championship match is set for Halloween Havoc on October 25 at the Findlay Toyota Center in Arizona.
Henley’s injury also coincides with the arrival of Lainey Reid, who officially joined Fatal Influence this week following Jazmyn Nyx’s WWE departure.
Will Fallon Henley be able to bounce back and return in time to support her faction at Halloween Havoc? Let us know your thoughts and drop your well wishes for Fallon in the comments below.
