Chad Gable may have retained his Intercontinental Championship, but his celebration didn’t last long. The October 19, 2026 episode of WWE RAW took a nasty turn when Ethan Page and Big Cass showed up after Gable’s title defense and unleashed a brutal attack on everyone involved.
Gable had just survived a wild Triple Threat Match against Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee, with all three men pulling out everything they had to walk away with the gold. Mysterio connected with a 619 and a frog splash, while Lee nearly stole the championship with a Styles Clash. Gable ultimately found a way to retain, catching Mysterio with a sunset flip for the three-count.
What happened next was a completely different story. Following the match, Gable, Mysterio and Lee showed each other respect after their hard-fought battle. That moment didn’t last long because Ethan Page stormed out and attacked both Gable and Mysterio, while Big Cass went straight after Dragon Lee.
Cass absolutely demolished Lee with a chokeslam onto the ringside barricade before delivering a massive boot to Mysterio. Meanwhile, Page turned his attention to the Intercontinental Champion, planting Gable with a fisherman’s buster.
Page wasn’t finished, either. He grabbed Gable’s Intercontinental Championship and held it up, making his intentions pretty clear. To drive the point home, Page delivered another fisherman’s buster to Gable, leaving the champion laid out after an already exhausting title defense.
The attack was especially interesting considering Gable had just successfully defended his championship against two of WWE’s most accomplished high-flyers. Instead of getting a moment to enjoy his victory, he found himself on the receiving end of a beating, with Page standing tall and holding his title.
Ethan Page certainly made a statement on RAW, and having Big Cass involved made the attack even more dangerous. Gable is still the Intercontinental Champion, but Page has now put himself directly in the championship picture without having to wrestle a match.
