Enzo Amore is not sugarcoating how things started for him in WWE.

During a conversation with Emilio Sparks, the former WWE Superstar looked back at his early days in the company and made it clear that Big Cass was not just some random tag partner thrown next to him. Cass was the guy who had his back when Enzo felt like he had nobody else in the building.

Enzo explained that he was not smart to the wrestling business when he first broke in. He was a fan, and Cass was the one teaching him the language, the psychology, and how the whole thing worked behind the curtain. That is when Enzo made it clear just how isolated he felt when he first got signed.

“He was my homie and I didn’t have any friends when I got signed to WWE. Nobody wanted to talk to me.”

Emilio pushed the conversation toward Enzo rubbing people the wrong way, and Enzo did not run from it. In his mind, the heat was there immediately because he could talk from day one, and that was enough to get under people’s skin.

“People don’t f*cking understand, man. Like, yo, f*ck you, right? Yeah, I had heat when I walked through the f*cking door. Why? Because I could cut a f*cking promo better than everyone day f*cking one.”

That is a very Enzo way to tell the story, but it also paints a pretty clear picture. He walked into WWE green as hell in the ring, but he knew he had something on the microphone that other people did not. That confidence clearly did not make him popular with everyone.

Emilio also asked whether that attitude made people look at him sideways, especially people who may not have understood what Dusty Rhodes saw in him. Enzo later said Dusty saw him as the best talker in promo class and believed the key was being so good that people could not ignore you.

Enzo’s version of the story is simple: he did not enter WWE with a locker room full of friends. He entered with heat, a big mouth, and Big Cass helping him figure out the business while everyone else kept their distance.
