Eddie Kingston has been on the shelf since suffering an injury at NJPW Resurgence and he has been on the road to recovery for a long time now. In fact, Kingston was recently spotted undergoing intense physical training while also sporting a new look.

Cezar Bononi took to Instagram and uploaded several photos of Eddie Kingston, as he was seen undergoing intense physical training for his knees while he remains absent from AEW television. Kingston also sported a more grizzled look thanks to his beard, as it got fans excited about his eventual return.

“What an incredible moment, yes everyone, he’s back!! Another amazing video is on the way with the incredible Eddie Kingston, so stay tuned to watch the full video on my YouTube channel, which will be released this week!”

The Mad King underwent knee surgery back in July and while it will still be a while before he can return, Eddie Kingston is doing his best to make sure he comes back as soon as possible.

Eddie Kingston had a heated rivalry with The Elite, particularly The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada, before his injury. Fans were disappointed that he couldn’t continue the feud, especially since he was set to compete in the Anarchy in the Arena match at Double or Nothing.

With Kingston unlikely to return until mid-2025, AEW will likely look very different by the time he’s back. Fans are already excited to see how AEW will bring him back and what new storylines or opportunities will be waiting for him, especially since he might be coming back with a whole different look.

Eddie Kingston’s return is one of the most highly anticipated comebacks in AEW. How do you think AEW should book his return? What kind of storylines do you want to see him involved in? Let us know your thoughts and predictions in the comments below!
