Dustin Rhodes’ pizza war has officially crossed state lines again — and New Jersey just caught a direct hit.
After spending weeks torching toppings, trashing New York pizza and declaring New Haven Tavern style the winner, Rhodes turned his attention to a fan’s Jersey Shore slice on October 8. The fan proudly posted a massive cheese slice and wrote, “Jersey Shore pizza the best!” Rhodes took one look at the photo and absolutely buried it.
“Disgusting greasy shit.”
That adds New Jersey to the growing list of pizza styles and toppings Rhodes has rejected during his ongoing food feud. The AEW veteran had already escalated things on September 3 after John Silver declared that good pizza doesn’t need toppings at all, writing, “I’m against toppings on pizza. If the pizza is good then toppings only make it worse.” Rhodes immediately spotted Silver’s take and made it clear they needed to settle the issue.
“We need to have a talk.”
A fan then defended Silver by pointing out that he’s from Long Island and should know pizza. Rhodes wasn’t buying it. Instead, he trashed New York pizza completely and revealed what he actually considers the superior style.
“No, NY Pizza is trash! I said what I said. New Haven Tavern style is the way!”
Rhodes has been waging this pizza war for a while now. He previously fired back after a fan defended supreme pizza and told him, “Don’t be an olive hater. Supreme pizzas are awesome.” Rhodes responded by condemning the entire style and taking an extra shot at vegetables.
“Supreme pizzas are trash. Stop putting vegetables and crap on there. Veggie tables are demonic.”
Yes, Rhodes wrote “veggie tables,” but the meaning was obvious — vegetables have no business anywhere near his pizza. Black olives have already been sentenced too. After a black olive-covered slice was posted online, Rhodes delivered an immediate judgment.
“U belong in prison.”
Pickle pizza didn’t fare any better. When someone tagged Rhodes in a pickle-covered creation, he begged fans to stop dragging him into their food crimes.
“Stop hate tweeting me!!! I am one of the nicest people in the world. Step somewhere else.”
Pineapple has also been rejected without mercy. When Jordynne Grace showed off a pepperoni-and-pineapple slice, Rhodes didn’t even entertain the idea.
“Umm……NO!!!! That ain’t pizza.”
Rhodes has now gone from attacking toppings to trashing entire regional pizza identities. New York got called trash, Jersey Shore pizza just got labeled “disgusting greasy shit,” and New Haven Tavern style remains the only clear winner in his personal pizza rankings.
At this point, Dustin Rhodes isn’t reviewing pizza anymore — he’s conducting a full-scale purge. If your slice has olives, pickles, pineapple, vegetables, too much grease or comes from the wrong part of the Northeast, there’s a good chance he wants absolutely nothing to do with it.
What do you think of Dustin Rhodes’ latest shot at Jersey Shore pizza? Is he right about the grease, or has he finally gone too far in his pizza war? Let us know what you think in the comments.
