Drew McIntyre’s WWE comeback might have to wait a little longer. The Scottish Warrior has been missing from WWE television for six months, and November 7 was looking like a possible date for his return. There’s just one problem — WWE has now announced he’ll be in London that same night, while Crown Jewel takes place in Saudi Arabia.

On October 24, WWE’s official UK account confirmed that McIntyre will appear at Zuffa Boxing 12 on November 7 at the Copper Box Arena in London. He’ll be joined by fellow WWE Superstar Bayley, with VIP meet-and-greet tickets now available for the event.

The announcement puts a serious dent in speculation that McIntyre could make his return at Crown Jewel, which is scheduled for the same date at Riyadh Season Stadium. While WWE hasn’t officially ruled him out of the Premium Live Event, having him advertised for an appearance in another country makes a surprise return considerably less likely.

McIntyre hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since WrestleMania 42 Night One, where he lost to Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned Match. Since then, he’s been busy working on Hollywood projects, including Highlander and The Last Druid. With those filming commitments now wrapped up, questions about his WWE return have only grown. McIntyre also added to the speculation by sharing footage of himself training inside a wrestling ring, but he never provided an official comeback date.

McIntyre recently addressed the subject while speaking to Collider about Agent of Shadows. When the conversation turned toward potentially bringing Chase DeMoor into WWE, McIntyre made it clear that he wasn’t ready to discuss his own return.

“The wheels are turning. The wheels are turning. Like leave that with me. I mean right now we’re talking today about Hollywood Drew. We’re not worrying about my comeback right now, but the wheels are turning.”

Now WWE’s latest announcement gives a better idea of where McIntyre will be on November 7, and it apparently won’t be inside a wrestling ring in Saudi Arabia. Instead, he’ll be meeting fans alongside Bayley at a boxing event in London.

Of course, WWE could always change its plans, but McIntyre’s advertised appearance makes Crown Jewel an unlikely destination for his comeback. After six months away, fans are still waiting to see when the Scottish Warrior will finally return to television. At least one thing is clear — WWE has plans for him on November 7, even if those plans don’t involve wrestling.

When do you think Drew McIntyre will finally return to WWE television, and who should be his first opponent when he comes back? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
