The April 14 episode of NXT saw the debut of Dorian Van Dux. This was also a great week for a debut.
Dorian Van Dux is in WWE’s NXT brand, and he had a strong start. He had a chance to show off against EK Prosper in the first round of the WWE Speed Tournament, and that was quite a match. The winner of the match would go on to face Lexis King in the tournament.
He made his televised WWE debut on the April 1 episode of Evolve, where he picked up a win over It’s GAL. A few days later, he was back in action on the April 4 episode of AAA, teaming with Elio LeFleur and Axiom in a six-man tag match.
DVD was best known in Westside Xtreme Wrestling prior to signing with WWE. He is from Belgium originally, and he has all the tools needed to be a big star. This wasn’t his night, though.
Dorian Van Dux gave it his all, but EK Prosper was able to beat him in the final second of the match. Now Prosper will go on to battle for the title that Elio LeFleur had to relinquish due to injury. Only time will tell what is next for DVD, but this was an impressive start.
