Dominik Mysterio may have walked out of AAA Rey de Reyes 2026 with the AAA Mega Championship still around his waist — but the title defense clearly left its mark.
After the chaotic No Disqualification main event in Puebla, Dominik took to Instagram on March 14, 2026 to show off the aftermath of the match. The photos revealed a nasty cut on the top of his head, a brutal reminder of just how violent the championship clash with El Hijo del Vikingo became. Dominik didn’t say much in the post, letting the images speak for themselves while celebrating the win: “#ANDSTILL 😈🤷♂️”
The photos showed blood running down the top of his head, suggesting the injury likely happened during one of the match’s weapon-heavy sequences. One moment in particular stood out during the bout when Vikingo launched a steel chair directly at Dominik’s head.
The match itself was pure chaos from start to finish. With No Disqualification rules in place, both competitors used weapons early, including kendo sticks, chairs, and even a garbage can as they battled throughout the arena.
Outside interference also played a major role in the finish. Dorian Roldán briefly attempted to help Vikingo during the match, while Omos later appeared and even choke slammed Dominik inside the ring. The situation escalated even further when Mini Vikingo appeared to neutralize Omos and shift the momentum again.
Once the chaos cleared, Dominik capitalized. He blasted Vikingo with a chair before landing his signature 619 and following it up with a frog splash from the top rope to pick up the win and retain the AAA Mega Championship.
The stakes were huge heading into the match. If Dominik had lost, he would have been forced to leave AAA permanently. Instead, his victory means Vikingo can no longer challenge for the AAA Mega Championship for as long as Dominik remains champion. Dominik may have survived the stipulation and kept the title — but judging by the photos he shared afterwards, Rey de Reyes left him with a battle scar he won’t forget anytime soon.
