Lawler thinks it’s unfortunate that WWE employees and Superstars are going to have to work on Christmas Day this year. When he was wrestling in Memphis he’d always book the Christmas and Thanksgiving Day cards so that he wouldn’t have to work on them. He says that he worked so hard and often all year long, so those holidays in particular were devoted to family time.
Moore points out that this is a business, and much like NBA or NFL games that occur on holidays, the employees chose this way of life. Lawler agrees and says that while the business side of things is very important, he’d personally never work on Christmas Day.
Moore asks Lawler for his opinion on Superstars ignoring fans who are asking for pictures or autographs. Sasha Banks has had some trouble lately, denying fans who were waiting for her autograph. Lawler says that there are two very reasonable sides to this issue. There’s no doubt that fans need to respect the Superstars’ privacy, but Lawler thinks Superstars need to at least try to be pleasant towards the fans.
From his experiences, Lawler thinks it’s beneficial to go out of your way to sign for fans or take pictures with them. He says the real concern would be fans not wanting your autograph, so Superstars shouldn’t take for granted the ‘famous’ lifestyle they longed for and successfully attained.
