Danhausen might actually have magic powers at this point.

Ahead of the Eastern Conference Finals, the AEW star put one of his famous curses on the Cleveland Cavaliers — and things immediately went downhill for Cleveland after that. The New York Knicks went on to sweep the Cavaliers and punch their ticket to the NBA Finals, leading plenty of wrestling fans online to jokingly credit Danhausen for the collapse.

Things got even funnier during Game 3 when Taylor Swift showed up, but apparently not even that could save Cleveland from the curse. The Knicks were led throughout the series by Jalen Brunson, who has long been open about being a wrestling fan and has previously appeared on WWE programming.

Danhausen’s wrestling gimmick has revolved around bizarre “curses” for years, and fans online quickly ran with the joke after Cleveland completely fell apart during the series.

Whether you believe in curses or not, Cavaliers fans probably don’t want Danhausen anywhere near their team again anytime soon.

Do you think Danhausen actually cursed the Cavaliers, or was this just the internet having fun with the Knicks’ playoff run? Leave your thoughts and feedback in the comments below.
