Danhausen is wasting no time searching for help after being told he needs a partner for his upcoming match — and now he’s calling out some of the biggest legends in WWE history.

During this week’s WWE SmackDown, Danhausen secured a match for Backlash 2026 against The Miz and Kit Wilson. However, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis made it clear that the match would only happen if Danhausen found a tag team partner.

Instead of quietly searching backstage, Danhausen took things straight to social media and reached out to several retired WWE icons, asking them to lace up their boots one more time for Backlash. His message included names like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, John Cena, AJ Styles, and others. Danhausen even made a unique offer to try and convince one of them to join him.

“Hello @ShawnMichaels @TripleH @undertaker @AJStylesOrg @JohnCena @steveaustinBSR @StardustWWELegend @Kuuuuuuurgan @NakedMideon @PapaShango
How does 400 human dollars sound to come out of retirements and team with Danhausen?!”

That message came shortly after Triple H added another twist to the situation, making it clear that Danhausen’s match at Backlash depends entirely on whether he can actually secure a partner.

“IF he can find a partner… @DanhausenAD gets a match against @mikethemiz and @KitWilson_PD at #WWEBacklash.”

With Backlash 2026 approaching, the search for Danhausen’s mystery partner is now becoming one of the more unpredictable situations on WWE television. Whether it turns into a serious reunion, a surprise return, or another comedic twist remains to be seen.

Ringside News will continue to follow this situation and provide full coverage as more details emerge about Danhausen’s search for a partner ahead of Backlash.
