Conversation with the Big Guy Recap – Cena/Reigns Promo Wars, WWE Network Tournaments, Ric Flair’s Recovery, More!

Ryback informs that his good friend Dolph Ziggler actually has a Hooters card, which entitles him to free Hooters. Ryback says that one of his biggest regrets about leaving WWE is the fact that he’d probably have a Hooters card now too if he stayed, because he always accompanied Ziggler to Hooters when they worked for WWE together.

Ryback comments on the notion that WWE’s Network Special Tournaments have been a success, but they haven’t been able to build new stars as a result of this success. He says that the Network specials seem to be targeting the hardcore, internet fans. The issue then, is trying to making these Superstars appeal to the mainstream audiences, and that takes a lot of time. WWE has failed at making these Superstars appealing to mainstream audiences thus far, and that needs to change moving forward.

Buck mentions that The Miz and Maryse are reportedly having a baby, and Ryback hadn’t heard that news yet. He sends his congratulations to Miz and Maryse, and he says he’s going to send Miz a private message now as well. He just hopes that this isn’t a work, because Miz will make fun of him for being a ‘mark’ forever if it is.

Buck asks Ryback if he thinks we’ll ever see a marquee, main event women’s match at WrestleMania in the near future. Ryback says we’ll absolutely see it, because it will be a great public relations headline for WWE. UFC is promoting main event women’s matches regularly now, and he thinks it’s only a matter of time before WWE follows suit.
