Conrad Thompson knew calling Roman Reigns the most overrated main-event star in WWE history would upset people. He probably didn’t expect fans to start filling his inbox with profanity-laced messages
After calling Reigns the most overrated main-event star in WWE history, Thompson took to Twitter and revealed that his inbox has been flooded with angry messages. Instead of deleting them or trying to defend himself, he decided to post one for everyone to see—and somehow turned the whole thing into a pitch for his mortgage business. The fan definitely didn’t hold back.
“Oh great, just another loser who doesn’t know s*** about the wrestling industry, and thinks his opinions matter and mean s***.”
Things only got nastier from there, with the fan insisting Thompson had no right to criticize Reigns. The rant ended with a challenge for Thompson to say those same things to Reigns’ face before telling him to “f*** off.”
“Roman Reigns has accomplished way more than you ever will in your pathetic life, and has more talent in one hair than you do in your whole body. He is not an industry plant. He worked damn hard for everything he’s accomplished.”
Why don’t you say all that s** to his face? I bet you won’t. So, you and your shit opinions can f*** off all the way.”
Most people probably would’ve ignored it. Thompson did the exact opposite. He screenshotted the message and joked that while some fans clearly think his wrestling opinions are overrated, his mortgage service definitely isn’t.
“Going through the fan mail tonight. As a reminder, I’d be glad to help you save money on your next home loan and I assure you, our service is not overrated. Believe that. Thank you for attention on this matter.”
The abuse comes just days after Thompson and Eric Bischoff set social media on fire by arguing that Paul Heyman deserves most of the credit for turning Roman Reigns into WWE’s biggest star, with Thompson even labeling Reigns the most overrated main-event talent in company history. Judging by the messages now landing in his inbox, plenty of fans are still taking that one personally.
