Cody Rhodes Still Eyeing Payback for Travis Scott’s Elimination Chamber Punch

Cody Rhodes hasn’t forgotten that shot Travis Scott landed—and he might be looking to return the favor.

In a new interview with Complex, the Undisputed WWE Champion addressed the now-infamous moment at Elimination Chamber when John Cena shocked the world by turning heel and aligning with The Rock. Adding fuel to the fire? Rapper Travis Scott, who jumped into the segment and clocked Cody so hard he walked away with a legit black eye.

While Cody insists he’s not holding a grudge, he definitely hasn’t let it slide. “I am not mad so much, but I am looking, and my eyes are open for what we inevitably, what we’ll call a ‘receipt,’” he said. “If Travis Scott ever makes his way back into the WWE fray, maybe there’s a receipt for Travis.”

Cody added that he was a fan before things got physical. “Prior to this though, by the way, I was a Travis Scott fan. I bought those sneakers.”

The face-off between Rhodes and Cena continues tonight on WWE RAW in London, as WrestleMania 41 inches closer—and with Cena now firmly in villain territory, the drama is only getting hotter. Whether Travis makes another WWE appearance remains to be seen, but if he does, Cody’s already got a message lined up—and possibly a little payback too.
